Machine Setup

Java 2 SDK 1.4.x

Penrose should be built with 1.4.x for compatibility reasons. Download the latest from http://java.sun.com. Install in the default directory. Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the installation directory (e.g. C:\j2sdk1.4.2_04). Also set the PATH environment variable to include JAVA_HOME/bin directory.

Ant 1.6.3 or later

Download the latest from http://ant.apache.org/bindownload.cgi then install it on your machine. Make sure the PATH environment variable includes the <install dir>/bin directory.

Subversion 1.x

Download SVN client from http://subversion.tigris.org/project_packages.html or http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/download.html then install it on your machine.

Inno Setup 5.x

Download the latest from http://www.jrsoftware.org/isdl.php and install it on your machine. Include the installation directory in the PATH environment variable.

Eclipse 3.1.x

Download the latest from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index.php then install it on your machine.
